Seating for guests is on a first-come-first-served basis and there are no assigned or reserved seats. First-time, full-time students under the age of 25 are much more likely to graduate in four years (on-time). The Class of 2022 faced many challenges in their pursuit of college education, a major one being the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 15,000 SNHU graduates are beginning the next chapter of their lives with a degree in hand this spring – over 11,300 with an undergraduate degree and nearly 3,900 with a graduate degree. Please note, the online ordering system includes the requirement to choose the date of your ceremony, with an “order by” date set each term by Herff Jones to ensure time to deliver the items. Diplomas will then be mailed out approximately 6-8 weeks after the semester ends. Grades for the graduating term are not available prior to printing the commencement program and reader cards. Therefore, honors designations for the ceremony are based on graduates’ cumulative GPA earned pixgames in the previous term. Final cumulative GPA and honors designations for diplomas/official transcripts will be updated as appropriate after final grades are processed at the end of the term. Questions regarding honors eligibility should be directed to the Enrollment Services/Registrar’s Office prior to commencement.
We consider the “on-time” graduation rate for a bachelor’s degree to be four years, but colleges typically report their graduation rates after six or even eight years. Carteret Community College is not responsible for personal items of graduates or guests. It is recommended that graduates leave all personal items in their car or with a trusted member of their family. Graduates will receive a souvenir diploma cover when they cross the stage. Accessible seating for guests will be available on the 2nd floor of the Event Center. An elevator is located next to the guest entrance which can be used for easy access to these reserved seats. Guests that need accessible seating will be permitted to have one family member sit with them but all other guests in the party will need to sit in the general seating area.
