With a single laser treatment, a follicle might be destroyed in as little as one or two minutes, but usually it takes at least 5 minutes for the hair to fall out so that the follicles can recover and start growing new hair.
While it might be true that the follicles are destroyed as quickly as it takes to get rid of a single hair, it is also true that the hair can grow back as quickly as 5 minutes after the treatment, and you’ll probably still need a second or two to make it through the day. The hair growing back after the first treatment is much more fragile and not as quickly growing as the follicles created during the first treatment.
The new gel for hair removal is pretty much the same formula as the old gel, except it is in a gel, the new gel is gel-free, and it also contains a little ammonia to help the hair grow back better. It also appears to be a little more expensive, with the new gel being $18, compared to the old version which was $8.99.
You can’t go wrong with either formula, especially if you’re just starting out in laser hair removal because the results are pretty quick, but if you’re one of those people who have been getting pretty good results with the old gel, I suggest you try the new gel. It’s a little less expensive, too.

It sounds like this gel is good for people with very thin hair. However, most people don’t have hair this thin. The gel is also a gel, which means that it is probably going to have to be left on for a long time. As for me, I have very fine hair and the hair gel never really worked for me, so I’m still stuck on that gel.
I’m not a fan of ammonia. I have a friend who is a dermatologist and she uses ammonia. She says that it can cause skin cancer. I do know that some people have trouble with it, and I’m not quite sure how that happened, but you should try to avoid it if you are using this gel, because it could cause skin cancer.
If you are using the gel, make sure it is at least 20 feet away from you. Also, check the manufacturer’s packaging on this gel for any warnings (like the warning about ammonia). My dermatologist friend also said to put it on a plate that has a clear cover so you can see your hair.
